fook-meow:

Here’s a piece I did for pre-year12 art homework. I was quite proud of it at the time, and still am a bit. It’s quite an expressive piece. I focused a lot on tone, line and positive and negative space, trying to express the pressure and stress that comes with having so much to do. Here’s the description I gave it when I made it:“BAM! I call it “The Homework Demon” or “Pretty much my January”. If you look closely you can see the imprint if the 20 pages of psych homework I did on top of it, and a tea stain (I drink a lot of tea when working). It’s a self portrait really. That’s what happens to me when I do homework (that was a joke btw)”

“Drawing my Ideas” 2013By Lauren McCalman Hey guys. This is a piece of work by my art teacher that she’s entered into The Yen Young Female Art awards. She’s a pretty rad artist (and a pretty rad teacher too) so I thought I should share it. You can check it out and/or vote for it here. There are also a bunch of other cool works that you can check out on there too :)
